Grant-Jones Music Services

Tim and Irene Grant-Jones both studied at the Royal Academy, London, and have four sons and a daughter. Tim is an examiner for Trinity Guildhall and for Yamaha Music Foundation. Based at Kempston, Bedford, they offer a wide range of music services including singing teaching, soprano soloist, piano teaching, piano accompaniment, coaching, and music tuition.
Their son Simeon, currently studying at the London Institute of Contemporary Music, is a guitar teacher and offers guitar lessons for both adults and children.
Tim also buys, sells, moves and hires pianos.
The Grant-Jones family is heavily involved with supporting Utange Orphanage, Kenya, and Irene is also an authorised distributor for the ‘Utility Warehouse’ discount club.

With Irene as soprano singer and Tim as pianist/organist, Tim and Irene have a wide experience of singing and accompanying at weddings, funerals, and other services. They can provide expert advice on choice of music, live demonstrations of music to aid choice, organ and/or piano playing at service, ceremony or reception, soprano soloist at the service, ceremony or reception.

Irene is a highly versatile soprano with an exceptionally large vocal range. Her singing brings the emotion right to peoples' souls.

Irene is not only an experienced singer with a great voice, but also has a unique singing teaching ability.

Tim works extensively as a piano accompanist. He is in demand as an accompanist to instrumentalists of every type, vocalists, choral societies and opera groups. He works with professionals and talented young performers as well as amateurs and musicians working towards their grade/diploma exams or performances.

Tim has spent over 30 years developing his piano teaching to beginners and advanced, young and old. Many of his pupils have gone on to study music and have a career in the music profession.

Tim has played much of the string, wind, brass and vocal repertoire with numerous soloists over the years. If you need someone to play for your exam, audition, concert, recital etc., Tim can often be available for this.

Tim has spent many years teaching in schools, not just piano but GCSE and A-level music. He is particularly interested in developing pupils' own compositions.
